Through the years there have always been certain individuals who’s music excels and persist through time with certified staying power…. Rare as that is, it is the most sought after goal for any artist to attain, most commonly expressed in the single word  Timeless.

“To achieve a timeless piece of work is to achieve art”-Delmos Wade

In 1993 Greyboy released his first album,.”Freestylin'” , it became a surprise underground hit that became a building block of the early hip-hop/jazz movement and Freestylin’ was to be the foundation for a long recording career….

Fast forward to 2012…..Several albums and accolades later Greyboy has collaborated with a number of differnent artists from Fred Wesley of the J.B.’s to AG (Showbiz and AG). His music has been featured in feature films like Get Shorty and Celtic Pride to video games like The Kelly Slater Surf Pro as well as commercial placements in nation wide campaigns with companies like Budweiser. All the while staying true to what he believes is good music and sticking to his guns like a sniper!

To amass this kind of career in such an excessively competitive industry like music          “ya gotta have some damn good ears”!!!

Peter Phillips (born June 21, 1970 in Bronx, New York), better known by his stage name Pete Rock, is an American record producer, DJ and rapper. He rose to prominence in the early 1990s as one half of the critically acclaimed group Pete Rock & CL Smooth. After the duo went their separate ways, Rock continued with a solo career that has garnered him worldwide respect, though little in the way of mainstream success. Along with groups such as Stetsasonic, A Tribe Called Quest, The Roots and Gang Starr, Rock played a major role in the merging of elements from jazz into hip hop music (also known as jazz rap). He is widely recognized as one of the greatest hip hop producers of all time, and is often mentioned alongside DJ Premier and RZA as one of the mainstays of 1990s East Coast hip hop production. Pete Rock is also the older brother and younger cousin, respectively, of rappers Grap Luva and Heavy D.
